The
history of radio
The
invention of the radio had started out as a wireless telegraph in the 1830s and
had later been developed by many inventors throughout the years adding their
own theories and creating separate inventions that in the 1900 had finally
become a transmitter. The transmitter was first used on Christmas day to
broadcast so ships at sea. In 1912 the first radio factory was opened and the
first radio news program was broadcasted in 1920 by station 8MK.
By
1945 a regency company introduced a pocket transistor radio, the TR-1 was
powered by a standard 22.5 V battery. In 1955 Sony introduced its first
transistorized radio. Over the centuries many companies and independent
inventors had developed their own styles and ideas to create a different
interpretation of the radio.
The
first radio personality was in 1909 in the United States when Ray Newby of
California made his debut for Herrold College and by 1910 radio personalities
